2018ko San Migel jaietan dantzaren tradizioa inoiz baino biziago dagoela erakutsi zuten neska eta mutilez osatutako talde bat lehenengoz plazara irtenda. Talde hori izango da dokumentalaren protagonista: Iurretako dantza talde nagusia osatzen duten zortzi neska-mutilak. Bost urtean behin herriko dantza talde guztiak Urrixena jaialdian batzen dira Iurretan. Ospakizun horretan lehenengoz parte hartuko dute debutatu berriek (talde parekideak) beste belaunaldi batzuetako dantzariekin batera. Entseguak, egun horretako prestaketak, eta plazan bizi duten emozioa izango dira dokumentalaren hari gidaria. Tarteka, Iurretako behinolako dantzarien testigantzak, ikerlarien iritziak eta beste hainbat lekukotza jasoko dira.

Sinopsis

En las fiestas de San Miguel del 2018, un grupo de chicos y chicas demostraron que la tradición de la danza estaba más viva que nunca, al salir juntos a la plaza. Ese grupo es quien será el protagonista del documental: los chicos y chicas que componen el grupo de danza de Iurreta. Poco a poco las mujeres han tomado su lugar en las plazas de toda Euskal Herria. El cambio de Iurreta ha sido natural, pero no per se. En el mundo de la danza, así como en Iurreta, gracias al trabajo realizado por algunas personas, pudimos conseguir ver aquella imagen en las fiestas del año pasado. Cada cinco años, todos aquellos que conforman el grupo de danza del pueblo se reúnen en el festival Urrixena en Iurreta. Los debutantes van a participar por primera vez en este festival junto con dantzaris de otras generaciones. Los ensayos, las preparaciones y la emoción que vivan en la plaza serán el hilo conductor del documental. Asimismo, también se recogerán algunos testimonios de dantzaris, de investigadores y otros.

Synopsis
At the San Miguel festivities of 2018, when a group of boys and girls performed together in the village square, they demonstrated that the tradition of dance was more alive than ever.
In fact, that group will be the protagonist of the following documentary: the eight boys and girls who are members of the dance group of Iurreta.Every five years, every local dance group meet at the so-called Urrixena festival that takes place in Iurreta, a village from Biscay (province of the Basque Country). The debutantes will participate in this festival for the first time along with dancers of other generations. The rehearsals, the preparations and the palpable emotion in the square will be the guiding thread of the documentary. Additionally, some testimonies of dancers, researchers andothers will be collected.
